Take responsibility for our impact on the environment

We do our best to minimise any drawbacks associated with our hampers by reducing our carbon footprint as much as possible through adopting the following well known mantra:

• Reduce
  We use sustainable resources wherever possible, this includes using filling to protect our hampers that is made of potato starch rather than polystyrene - try eating a piece if you don't believe us!  We also use paper labels rather than PVC as whilst clear plastic labels look lovely they are not so lovely for the environment.  We also follow our recommended Little Green Steps as often as possible.
  
  
• Re-use
  As well as being gorgeous to look at our jute hamper bags are extremely hardwearing so can be re-used as a shopping bag to avoid the unnecessary collection of plastic bags which clog up our landfills. Our chutneys and sauces are all in glass jars which can be re-used or recycled if you have no other use for them.
  
  
• Recycle
  We have become obsessive about recycling - even our vegetable peelings are composted - click here to learn more about what you can recycle! We use recycled products wherever possible and encourage our suppliers and advisers to do the same. Our boxes and stationery are made of recycled paper and as we grow we hope to invest in the development of new recycled and recyclable packaging for all our products.
