Turnham Green is an exciting new business providing luxury ethical hampers packed with gourmet delights, with a healthy and environmentally sound ethos.

Environmentally Friendly

We try to be ethical in each decision we make, such as:

• using local seasonal produce, which we preserve with traditional methods so it can be enjoyed throughout the year;
• careful sourcing of all ingredients;
• using English sparkling wine to reduce the carbon footprint;
• choosing environmentally sensitive packaging: glass jars (to be reused or recycled), recycled paper for our labels and boxes, and using filler made from potato starch rather than polystyrene!
• binning the heavy wicker basket and using environmentally friendly and stylishly designed jute bags instead which can then be re-used again and again when shopping.

Gourmet and Nutritious

As trained chefs, we make nearly all of the contents of the hampers ourselves (all but the tea, wine and chocolates). All our recipes have been devised to maximise their nutritional content without sacrificing flavour (e.g. choosing anti-oxidant packed dark chocolate rather than sugar-filled milk chocolate and buckwheat or wholemeal flour in place of nutritionally barren white flour).
